BOC Wrapped Up its Financial Service for Games
OREANDA-NEWS. October 03, 2013. As the only bank partner of the 12th National Games, BOC has wrapped up its financial service for the Games with "zero error, zero complaint and zero accident".
On-site financial support for smooth payment
To better serve the National Games, in the preparing period of the Games, BOC had frequently communicated with the Organizing Committee of the Games, conducted field inspections, studied the competition schedule and elaborately organized various financial services. According to key competition periods after the Games beginning, BOC started from details such as foreign currency exchange, ATM, POS, merchant processing and customer complaint handling to ensure the smooth operation of the payment system for the Games.
At designated hotels and activity places for athletes, journalists and guests, on-site service was a highlight: at the National Games Village, BOC set up a service outlet, three self-service banking outlets, five CRS units, and sent able staff to provide exclusive on-site financial services; it sent customer managers in charge of merchant processing business at 20 business service stores in the village during the Games; it deployed five ATM units and four CRS units in the athlete and media sections of the village to provide all-day services to guests in the village.
Exclusive ticket agency, real-time online buying
As the exclusive financial ticket agency for the 12th National Games, BOC set up 50 ticket outlets at its 14 branches in Liaoning Province, opened special ticket windows and assigned ticketing staff. At the outlets, people could pay for tickets in the ways such as cash, debit card, credit card and current account. Also, BOC Liaoning Branch installed POS units for ticket offices of 30 competition venues so that the public could buy tickets on the spot.
From the opening of the National Games on August 31 to its closing date of September 12, 50 ticket outlets sold a total of 38,579 tickets including 26,586 tickets sold by the outlets in the National Games Village, receiving over 1,400 athletes and staff members. Over 5,630 transactions were conducted via ATM units with a complaint rate of 0 percent.
"VIP window" for National Games
To simplify business processing and save time for customers during the National Games, BOC opened "VIP windows" at five outlets including the Business Department of Shenyang Branch, Beizhan Sub-branch, Nanhu Sub-branch, Sujiatun Sub-branch and Olympic Sports Center Sub-branch, with the aim of building the "VIP windows" into VIP channels during the Games and golden model service windows in the banking industry.
During the National Games, all guests of the Games may enjoy VIP services at BOC outlets in the athlete and media sections of the National Games Village, ticket windows for the Games as well as the main competition zone and 13 sub-competition zones of the Games.
Recently, a Hong Kong athlete competing in the 12th National Games left words on the BOC guestbook after withdrawing cash, "It is a great experience and pleasure to handle business at the BOC outlet."
