OREANDA-NEWS. October 03, 2013. Qatar Petroleum recently hosted a delegation from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) as part of the benchmarking and knowledge-sharing activities of the GCC Production and Maintenance Committee, which is made up of industry professionals from the region’s national oil and gas companies.

The two-day program, which was held on September 17 to 18, was attended by the KOC Operational Planning Team led by Mr. Nawaf Al-Shehab, Ms. Mashael Al-Majroub and Mr. Ali Behbehani.

On the first day of their visit, the KOC representatives had a meeting presentation with QP officials led by Mr. Rashid Majed Al-Sulaiti, Manager for Operations Engineering-Offshore Fields, and Mr. Jassim Mohammed Sadiq, Engineering Manager for Major Projects, to discuss the management of capital projects.

During the meeting, Mr. Ahmed Ewida, Project Manager of the Bul Hanine Re-Development Project, discussed their project management system, while Mr. Mubarak Aman Saeed Al-Hetmi, Senior Project Engineer at the Operations Engineering-Offshore Fields Department, talked about projects coordination at QP’s Offshore Operations.

The presentation was followed by lunch, which was attended by Mr. Talib Abdulla Al-Murri, Operations Manager-Drilling and Chairman of GCC Steering Committee, together with other senior officials of the Drilling Department. Tokens of appreciation were later presented to the KOC delegates by Mr. Mubarak Awaida Al-Hajri, Operations Manager-Offshore Fields, to thank them for their visit to the QP offices in Doha.

On the second day of their visit, the KOC representatives were welcomed in Dukhan by Mr. Soud Jaleel Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Manager for Production Operations (Gas Recycling), and Ms. Eiman Yousef, Business and Community Relations Coordinator. They then proceeded to listen to presentations on the Acid Gas Removal plant (AGRP) Project, which was given by Mr. Antoine Mikhael Najjar, Senior Project Engineer, and on an Overview of Dukhan Fields, which was presented by Mr. Hamad Rashid Al-Marri, Wellhead-Field Production Supervisor.

After the presentations, the KOC delegates visited the AGRP project site, followed by a tour of the Dukhan Township. Their visit concluded with lunch at the Dukhan Water Sports Club with Mr. Ahmad Saif Al-Sulaiti, Operations Manager-Dukhan Fields, and other senior officials of QP’s Dukhan Operations.  Tokens of appreciation were later presented by Mr. Al Sulaiti to the KOC delegates in gratitude for their visit to Dukhan.
