OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2013. Governor Zhou Xiaochuan attended the 30th Meeting of the Governors’ Club of member countries of the Central Asia, Black Sea Region and Balkans hosted by the Central Bank of Armenia.

During the meeting, participants discussed lessons learnt from the global financial crisis, approaches and tools to address future challenges, especially challenges that each member country faces under the new framework of global financial regulation and how they respond to the challenges. The participants paid a courtesy call to Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia.

The Club was established in 1998 and has 22 member countries. It is the most important forum among central banks in the region. The PBC joined in the Club in 2011.

On the margins of the meeting, Governor Zhou Xiaochuan held talks on strengthening bilateral financial and currency cooperation with Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia and other participants. He also signed a local currency swap agreement with Governor Ardian Fullani of the Bank of Albania.
