OREANDA-NEWS. LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH", being the General Contractor of Gazprom invest LLC, has laid the foundation for the first gas-pumping unit (GPU) on the territory of the Russkaya CS.

Installation of the GPU is scheduled for November-December of the current year. Construction contractor is JSC "Lengazspetsstroy".

It is worth reminding that the Russkaya CS is the sea gate for Southern Corridor gas pipeline system (expansion of UGSS for gas supply to South Stream gas pipeline). The Russkaya CS will be the most powerful station in the world with 14 “Ladoga” gas-pumping units of 32 MW each.

Aggregate capacity of the compressor station will amount to 448 MW. Let us recall that the capacity of the biggest at the moment the Portovaya CS within North Stream gas pipeline is 366 MW.
