OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2013. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has met with representatives of the leading companies in the field of information technology.

The meeting was attended by representatives from companies such as Singularity University Labs, EMC, Intel, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Bosch, Apple, Infopulse Ukraine, Bionic Hills and others.

Mr. Gryshchenko assured participants of the meeting that Ukraine pays special attention to the development of information technology and technologic business development.

"An important priority for the modernization of the national economy is the development of innovation infrastructure of IT-industry in Ukraine, including educational component, as well as establishing strong tax preferences for high-tech companies and their experts," Vice Prime Minister said.

Kostyantyn Gryshchenko convinced of the need to improve the quality of education in the IT sector and harmonization of the educational process to the needs of IT businesses.

"The number of experts in the field of information technologies in Ukraine at the beginning of 2013 was about 250 thousand, including 45 thousand are certified highly qualified specialists. We should create such opportunities for the development of IT industry, so that our experts can work in Ukraine" K.Gryshchenko said.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine urged leading IT-companies develop training programs in cooperation with Ukrainian universities actively.
