OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2013. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Incomes and Fees to start the work on the project on creating a grain pool between Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, completing the necessary consultations with partners.

 The relevant order Ukrainian Prime Minister gave at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Mykola Azarov said that the agreement on development of a project of the grain pool was agreed with the Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia on September 25 in Astana in the framework of first meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of Heads of Governments.

“Export potential of the three countries today is about 70 million tons of grain. Agreed market position of our three countries on the grain market will significantly reduce the risk of price fluctuations or even to avoid short-term losses,” Prime Minister stressed.
