TITAN-2 Began Installation of Fire Line for Turbine Island of LNPP-2
OREANDA-NEWS. A fire line is a net of communications delivering water for extinguishing fire both inside a building and at the territory of the project.
Installation of the fire line includes:
installation of the pump station;
installation of the distributing works;
installation of the fire cabinets;
installation of the automatics;
start-up and shakedown;
hydraulic testing
Leningrad NNP-2 employs an independent high-pressure fire line and utility / drinking water line. High-pressure fire line provides for fire extinguishing inside and outside of the main building and other facilities, operation of stationary fire extinguishing plants, and fire extinguishing plants not included to the second sequence safety systems. Installation of the fire line is an important step towards the de-preservation of the turbine equipment to be made by MSU-90 constructive workers.

The TITAN-2 is one of the main contractors for energetic blocks No. 1 and 2 being constructed at the Leningrad NPP-2. The company is performing up to 30% of the general construction and up to 80% of all the installations. Holding specialists work at 42 sites of the first and the second energy block of the Leningrad NPP-2. Works are being conducted in the facilities for the reactor, turbine, power and water distribution, heating and other buildings, with quite a long preparation period.
