OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2013. A Sberbank delegation participated in the 35th International Finance Forum - Sibos 2013.

Within the framework of the Forum the representatives of Sberbank Group, including Sberbank Europe, Denizbank (Turkey), and the subsidiary JSC Sberbank (Kazakhstan) held more than 100 meetings with leading international financial institutions, including more than 30 meetings with the Arab banks and sovereign wealth funds. The focus of the negotiations was on the improvement of price and other conditions for the business development of the banks of the Group.
 
Participation in Sibos 2013 helped to strengthen the Group's position in the Middle East and to expand its trade finance and global markets activity with banks and institutional investors in the region.

At the Forum an agreement for servicing ruble clearing of new respondent banks was signed. An increased interest in the services of Sberbank in this field was shown by the financial institutions from developing countries.

Sberbank’s stand acted as a platform for the provision of a full range of its products and services in the field of trade and export finance, customer and product management for financial institutions, money market transactions, and depository and clearing services of the banking group.

Participation in Sibos 2013 helped underline the position of Sberbank as a global player in the international financial market.

Sibos (SWIFT International Banking Seminar) organized by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) has been held annually since 1978 and is one of the key events for the global financial community.  The Forum traditionally brings together thousands of participants – representatives of the major banks, financial organizations and corporations, developers and suppliers of equipment and solutions for the global financial industry, and provides a unique opportunity to promote banking products and services. Sibos 2013 was held in Dubai (UAE) on 16-19 September 2013.
