OREANDA-NEWS. According to preliminary data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia GeoStat, in January-August 2013, foreign trade turnover of Georgia totaled USD 6638 million (nonmetering spontaneous trade), that is by 0,1% less than in the same period of 2012.

In the reporting period export made USD 1759 million (by 13% more), while import - USD 4879 million (by 4% less). The negative trading balance of Georgia made USD 3121 million, 47% of the total foreign trade turnover.
