OREANDA-NEWS. Toshiba Corporation announced that it has today started mass production of its new vector engine embedded microcontroller, "TMPM375FSDMG" for motor applications, the latest addition to the ARM Cortex(tm)-M3 core-based TX03 series line-up.

The Vector Engine is a Toshiba original coprocessor that independently processes vector control of motors, allowing the main processor to be allocated to system control and communication, so improve the overall performance of applications.

The coprocessor has a small SSOP30 package that enables use in space-critical applications, such as mounting inside motors.
