OREANDA-NEWS.  September 25, 2013. Sviaz-Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) will change interest rates payable on time deposits in the Russian currency.

The new rates will apply to several deposit types, in particular, the Sberegatel’ny Plyus (Savings Plus), Kollektsiya “Klassik” (Classic Collection), Kollektsiya “Elit” (Elite Collection), and Kollektsiya “Delyuks” (Deluxe Collection).

No changes will be made in the interest rates Sviaz-Bank pays on the remaining deposit types. The maximum interest payable on the Sberegatel’ny Plyus deposit is 10% per annum in rubles, and 10.4% in rubles on deposits in the Select Collection.

According to the Bank of Russia, the average maximum interest payable on deposits in Russian rubles by ten banks that attract the greatest proportion of deposits from individuals has declined to 8.89%.
