Union Pacific Railroad's Earns Women worth Watching Recognition
OREANDA-NEWS. Union Pacific Railroad's Kate Betsworth is recognized in the 12th annual Women Worth Watching feature of the September/October edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal. Betsworth is vice president - Intermodal Operations, where she directs intermodal facilities and network operations, ensuring service commitments are met for this growing business segment.
The magazine recognizes women executives who share personal leadership successes designed to encourage aspiring business leaders and help advance women into leadership ranks.
"It is a tremendous honor to be recognized alongside so many accomplished women in leadership roles," Betsworth said. "My experiences have taught me to appreciate two things: hard work and personal responsibility - traits that are embodied by the many Union Pacific team members I've been fortunate to work with throughout my career."
Betsworth began her career at Union Pacific in 1994. Prior to Intermodal Operations, she was the vice president and general manager of Union Pacific Distribution Services, and also held leadership roles throughout Union Pacific's Marketing & Sales Department in the Chemicals, Industrial Products and Training teams.
