OREANDA-NEWS. Mahmut Calik Anatolian High School, a school of 32 classrooms within the body of Mahmut Calik Education Complex, was opened in Malatya on September 21st, Saturday. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and ministers have attended the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony of Mahmut Calik Anatolian High School that was built by Malatya originated textile doyen Mahmut Calik as a social responsibility project was held on September 21st, Saturday with the participation of Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. Minister of Finance Mehmet Simsek; Minister of Transportation, Maritime and Communication Binali Yildirim; Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Mehdi Eker and Minister of Sports Suat Kilic also attended the ceremony in Malatya.

Mahmut Calik Anatolian High School, which was built in the body of Mahmut Calik Education Complex within the scope of "Hundred Percent Support to Education" campaign, has a modern building, state-of-the-art equipments and 32 classrooms.

Mahmut Calik Education Complex, founded on a land of 40 thousand square meters in Malatya, will include nurseries, primary schools, dormitories for female and male students, indoor gym, dining hall, teacher houses, social facilities and conference halls besides the Anatolian High School whose opening ceremony was held.

In Malatya where almost 5 thousand people are employed in facilities of Cal?k Holding and Mahmut Calik, there are many structures built within the scope of group's social responsibility projects. Yesilyurt Hasan Calik Hospital, which is one of these structures that Mahmut Calik built in the city, put into service in 1997. Yesilyurt Calik Hospital has a capacity of 75 beds on a total area of 12 thousand square meters whose 4 thousand square meters are indoors and 8 thousand square meters are outdoors. The hospital that continues to provide service with its 211 employees has 8 polyclinics: internal diseases, gynaecology, urology, ear-nose-throat, paediatric, dental health, eye health and general surgery. Only in 2012, the hospital treated a total of 150 patients by providing 24/7 service in its emergency unit. Moreover, Diniye Calik Mosque with a capacity of 500 people and two Quran Course classes that Mahmut Calik opened in Yesilyurt, Malatya on behalf of her respected wife in 1999.
