Ukraine to Develop Tourism Brand of Country
OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2013. "Tourism is one of the fastest growing areas in the world. Ukraine's potential in it allows us to create a growth point of national economy. An important element in the development of tourism is to develop tourism brand and logo. It has to unite the country and increase its attractiveness. For example, the logo I Love NY (I love New York), for forty years, they are proud of it and do not change every year," vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said.
He noted on his Facebook page: "It is important. In order to avoid misunderstandings about the cost, funds for the development of tourism brand will be allocated not from the state this time; we’ve received a European grant. I support this approach."
"In my understanding the logo of the country or a city should be such that you could it somewhere in the airport waiting for the plane to draw on the leaf and show a stranger and he feels your positive emotion," the vice premier wrote and noted that the product must be created as a result of public comment with the involvement of experts.
"The process must be public. Experts will discuss the concept of tourism brand in Ukraine on Friday," Olexandr Vilkul said.
It is expected that for a broad discussion the brand concept will be presented in Kiev at the International Tourism Forum to be held on October 10-12. Finally, the work should be completed in early 2014.
