OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2013. The Commission of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that “ATAK” Ltd. (a member of входит в группу Auchan Group, France) violated the Law “On Trade”.

The company created discriminatory conditions for suppliers of fish and fish products (Clause 1 part 1 Article 13 of the Federal Law “On the Fundamental Principles and State Regulation of Trading Activities in the Russian Federation”).

The investigation showed that “ATAK” charged suppliers of fish and fish products differently for the same services for promoting and increasing sale of goods (services for studying consumer demand trends for the goods in the “ATAK” store).

FAS issued a determination to “ATAK” Ltd. to stop the violation.

The FAS Commission terminated proceedings on the part of the case with regard to other type of services – advertising goods by demonstrating samples. From 2012 “ATAK” Ltd. fixed the same fee for all suppliers of fish and fish products.

“FAS often investigates such violations of the Law “On trade”. We already made a decision on a case against “Metro Cash&Carry” trading network and now we are investigating a case against Auchan trading network”, commented Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Ekaterina Uryukina.
