OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2013. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cherkizovo Group Igor Babaev was awarded a token of appreciation for “Contribution to the Development of Penza” by decision of the Penza City Council.

This award honours remarkable services for social and economic development of the city. 

Mr. Babaev was also awarded a medal "In the memory of Penza’s 350th anniversary" for outstanding contributions to the development and progress of modern Penza.

Igor Babaev is the founder of Cherkizovo Group, which has been operating in Penza Region for more than 15 years. In the last 8 years alone, the company has invested more than 15 billion roubles in developing the region’s agricultural industry. Cherkizovo Group is the region’s largest agroindustrial investor. More than 4500 residents of Penza and Penza Region are employed at the Group’s facilities.
