OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2013. Incheon International Airport will adopt the flexible charge system, temporarily increasing parking fares during the busiest times only.

This measure is taken in accordance with national energy saving campaign and seen as a contribution to the vitalization of public transportation use. It is also believed to be beneficial for minimizing inconvenience of parking lot’s users.

Parking fee will be increased during the periods when parking lots are used the most: Friday through Sunday, legal holidays, winter season(December~January) and summer season(July~August). Short-stay parking fee will be increased up to 14,000 Korean won per day, long-stay parking fee up to 9,000 Korean won per day. In case of short-stay parking fee the basic 30-minute charge will be 200 Korean won and extra 100 won will be charged for every additional 15 minutes. Long-stay charge for compact cars will be increased up to 200 Korean won per hour. And long-stay discount parking system(park for more than 5 days get 50% DC), which was supposed to increase the convenience will be abolished.

As a fundamental measure Incheon Airport plans to enhance the customers’ level of satisfaction by building an additional parking garage nearby the transportation center.
