OREANDA-NEWS.  September 20, 2013. Both routes from Chisinau to Rome and Venice will be initially carried out 2 times a week. They are the first low-budget lines.

The price of one-way ticket ranges from 19.99 euro all duties inclusive. Previously the commercial director of the air company Dierdi Abran said that Moldova's air transport market is steadily growing and will significantly benefit from stimulation of low fares for air travel in order to attract more passengers. Trade relations of Moldova are primarily connected with the Western Europe, where many Moldovan citizens are employed.

The low-cost services between Moldova and Western Europe will gratify tourists, business passengers and Moldovan Diaspora. Dierdi Abran said that Wizz Air plans to carry over 60 thousand passengers on two routes between Chisinau and Italy.

The Prime Minister Iurie Leanca noted that by the launch of low-cost air traffic Moldovan government will fulfill its promise made at the Congress of Moldovan Diaspora in October 2012, that the citizens will be able to feel the benefits of signing the Agreement on a Single Aviation Area between EU and Moldova.

Wizz Air is the largest low-budget, low-cost carrier in the Central and Eastern Europe, which operates a fleet of 44 aircrafts Airbus A320 from 16 hubs, offering 270 routes connecting 93 destinations in 33 countries.
