OREANDA-NEWS. Senior Representative of Federal Aviation Administration of the United States in Russia and the CIS, Mr Elie T. Nasr visited the Vnukovo International Airport on September, 16. The purpose of the visit was the meeting with Mr Alexandrov Vasily, the Director General of Vnukovo Airport.

In addition to that, Elie T. Nasr saw the all-new airport and airfield infrastructure, as well as he got acquainted with development plans. He also participated in the tour around the new terminal A of Vnukovo airport and assisted to the presentation “Results of the reconstruction and competitive advantages of the Vnukovo International Airport”.

“This is one of the best presentation tours I have ever had the opportunity to participate,” commented Elie Nasr T. at end of the tour.

Vnukovo International Airport is one of the largest aviation hubs in Russia. The airport handled more than 150,000 flights of Russian and foreign airlines annually. Airport's route map covers the whole territory of the Russian Federation and CIS countries, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

Vnukovo airfield has two intersecting runways: the joint throughput capacity is 58 movements per hour. The airport Vnukovo -1 consists of two terminals: a new passenger terminal A with total floor space of 270 thousand square meters which was opened in December 2012 and a passenger terminal in the total floor space of 25 thousand square meters.
