Panasonic Corporation announced that it will exhibit at CEATEC JAPAN 2013, an exhibition for cutting-edge IT and electronics held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan, from Tuesday 1 October to Saturday 5 October. Panasonic will exhibit at the "Life & Society Stage" in Hall 5 at Booth 5F76.

As interest in 4K technology grows, due to the planned 4K test broadcasts for the Olympic Games and other sports events, films, and other factors, Panasonic will present an introduction to innovations in a variety of fields from daily life to business situations, made possible through its wide range of B2B to B2C 4K-related products and solutions. Examples include the company's 4K organic EL panels (4K OLED), which it led the industry in developing, its 4K tablet (for release in December in Japan) and 4K-compatible VIERA (for release in mid-October in Japan).

The sample 4K OLED panels will be on display at the booth, showing the high definition, high contrast and superb color reproduction made possible through the company's original RGB all-printing method of production, giving visitors to the booth a chance to experience the next generation display technology of OLED panels.

In the 4K Business Solutions area, the company will introduce the TOUGHPAD 4K, a new tablet equipped with a 20-inch 4K IPS Alpha LCD panel which supports input from the high resolution electronic touch pen. Solutions will be proposed for innovation with 4K in numerous business situations through specific and diverse applications of the technology. The company will also introduce its vision of contributing to 4K video production through its 4K cameras, monitors and other equipment.

In the 4K Consumer Products area, Panasonic will introduce its new 4K-compatible VIERA, which offers support for a broad range of 4K content, including content from the internet, computers and video games as well as other sources, in addition to its new 4K-compatible DIGA. Both the 4K-compatible VIERA and 4K-compatible DIGA offer superb picture quality made possible through the company's technologies.
