OREANDA-NEWS. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and Federal State Unitary Enterprise the Krylov State Research Center (the Krylov KSRC) entered into an agreement on cooperation.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the agreement was signed by Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and on behalf of the Krylov KSRC by Director General Andrei Dutov.

The agreement aims to establish long-term and effective cooperation in implementing projects in shipbuilding and civil marine equipment sectors including a project to create an Arctic Shipbuilding Center on the basis of Federal State Unitary Enterprise the Krylov State Research Center.

Under the agreement the Krylov Research Center regards Vnesheconombank as a strategic partner in implementing an investment project on the creation of an Arctic Shipbuilding Center which will focus on designing and constructing vessels and marine facilities. This is a new project for Russia and it is based on long-term relations between the Krylov KSRC and most companies, equipment manufacturers and engineering companies both domestic and foreign ones.

The agreement’s implementation would help to enhance the development of the domestic shipbuilding industry, put in place new production facilities and create new jobs.
