This year is a critical year for the construction of key projects in TISCO’s “12th Five-Year Plan,” a number of projects is in the completion stage or under construction. Among them, the projects for product structure adjustment are of concern. Some time ago, the project builders withstood the heat waves and rainy weather, stepped up the construction and effectively guaranteed the project schedule.
 
Stainless steel cold tandem rolling line project is Shanxi Provincial key project for the transformation and leap-frog development and the product structure adjustment. After the technological transformation and upgrading of the stainless steel cold rolling mill, TISCO’s product structure will be adjusted, the hot rolled stainless steel products for sale will be decreased, the industrial added value of the products will be increased, which will fully improve the comprehensive competitiveness of the stainless steel products. This project will be hot commissioned at May, 2014. The silicon steel cold tandem rolling line is also a project for the product structure adjustment. This line can meet the requirements for high-end, featured and quality cold rolled silicon steel sheets in domestic market. This project will be hot commissioned at April, 2014.
 
After these two lines are brought into operation, the products with high technical content and high value-added, such as the steels for high speed and heavy load rail carriages, car’s exhaust, container and coinage, the ultra-pure ferritic stainless steel and the cold rolled silicon steel, will be TISCO’s new economic growth point, promote the comprehensive transformation and upgrading of TISCO’s products to the direction of developing the high-end, advanced and featured products and make TISCO into a competitive and featured products base for stainless steel, cold rolled silicon steel and railway steel.
