OREANDA-NEWS. NTT DOCOMO, INC., a personalized mobile solutions provider for smarter living, announced that its booth at CEATEC JAPAN 2013 will present experiential demonstrations and stage shows introducing a multitude of services and advanced technologies that help people live and work smarter. CEATEC, Japan's largest mobile industry trade show, will be held at the Makuhari Messe exhibition center in Chiba city from October 1 to 5.

The exhibit offers a look at the exciting research taking place at DOCOMO on the wearable devices of the future. Intelligent glasses give users a hands-free experience by utilizing a display on the frame to seamlessly provide information and entertainment. Visitors can experience direct manipulation of virtual content in a world of augmented reality (AR) created with the intelligent glasses and their innovative capabilities, such as facial recognition which pulls relevant information from the cloud to provide a profile of a person being viewed, and character recognition enabling instant language translation.

DOCOMO will present its concept for the next-generation mobile communication system (5G), an ultra-high-performance network successor to the current LTE-Advanced standard. The company will demonstrate the incredible speed, high capacity and low latency this system makes possible.

Mobile spatial statistics (MSS) refers to aggregate data about mobile phone locations and user attributes compiled while ensuring individual users are never identified and it can provide useful insights for disaster-prevention measures and urban development. DOCOMO will give a detailed presentation on how MSS is carried out.
