OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine International Airlines and Turkish Airlines concluded a partner agreement envisaging increasing frequency of Kiev - Istanbul service and developing direct air connection between the cities of Ukraine and Istanbul. The agreement is effective as of September 15, 2013.

The carriers concluded a code-share agreement en routes Kiev - Istanbul (Ataturk International airport) - Kiev, Kiev - Istanbul ( Sabiha Gokcen International airport) - Kiev, Donetsk - Istanbul - Donetsk, Odessa - Istanbul - Odessa, Simferopol - Istanbul - Simferopol, Kiev - Kharkov - Kiev, and Dnepropetrovsk - Istanbul - Dnepropetrovsk. UIA and Turkish Airlines partnership provides UIA passengers from the cities of Ukraine with an opportunity to take advantage of direct service and to quickly reach Istanbul. The leading Ukraine's carrier's clients traveling from other points of the route network will be able to reach Istanbul via the capital of Ukraine.

The code-share agreement not only increases frequency of UIA-coded service between Kiev and Istanbul and provides travelers from the cities of Ukraine with an opportunity to make use of UIA direct services but also provides Turkish Airlines passengers access to UIA extensive route network. Operated to Kiev Boryspil International airport Instanbul - Kiev flights are well-connected to all UIA-coded flights departing from Kiev to the capitals and key cities of Europe, United Arab Emirates, CIS countries, and Middle East.
