Financial support for opening business incubator was provided by the European Union within the project "Economic development in rural areas of Moldova", under implementation of which about 30 million lei had been allocated. The business incubator will include 20 companies that will provide not less than 60 jobs. It is planned that 30% of companies will be engaged in production and the rest will provide services.

During the official opening ceremony of business incubator the Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said that the main idea of the business incubator is a long-term solution of the problem of poverty in Moldova - creation of new jobs and provision of decent wages. "These incubators are created in order to give an additional chance to entrepreneurs who prefer to stay at home and invest in the development of the country", - noted Iurie Leanca.

The Head of the EU Delegation in Moldova Pirkka Tapiola confirmed the EU intention to support the implementation of similar projects in Moldova. He noted that there are about 900 business incubators in EU countries, which have been instrumental in supporting new and existing companies. The Head of the EU Delegation in Moldova also noted that in 2013 EU and the Government of Moldova are going to create five business incubators.
