Alliance of China Internet of Vehicles Industrial Technology Founded
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2013. Initiated by 29 companies and organizations including the Society of Automobile Engineering of China (SAE-China), the First Automotive Works (FAW), Dongfeng Automobile Company (DFAC), China Unicom, China Telecom, China Automobile Engineering Research Institute (CAERI), the 54th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC54), Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Shanghai Autonav, and Shanghai Hangsheng, the Strategic Alliance of China Internet of Vehicles Industrial Technology Innovation was founded at Beijing Railway Mansion.
Wang Fuchang, Director General of the Equipment Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information, Li Xinnan, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology Policy Research, Tang Fuqiang, Director of the Department of Technology Innovation of the Innovation Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attended the founding ceremony and extended their congratulations. Xie Fei, Vice General Manager of CAERI, attended the ceremony as the representative of CAERI, and was invited as a board director and a Distinguished Expert of the Alliance.
This Alliance will integrate Intra-Vehicle Net, Inter-Vehicle Net, and vehicle mounted mobile internet, cloud technology, and big data technology, and formulate a unified net for intelligent traffic management, intelligent dynamic information service and intelligent vehicle control to effectively address the issues of traffic jam, environmental pollution and reduction of energy consumption and traffic accidents. It will play an important role in the process of economic transformation and development of new industries in China.
