Wage Arrears Reduced by 13% from March in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2013. There is a clear tendency on reducing arrears of wages in Ukraine over the past six months, as of today it decreased by almost 143 million from March this year. The First vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov said during a conference call on wages, payment to the Pension Fund of Ukraine and the legalization of employment.
In addition, a plan of Pension Fund own revenues was exceeded by 1.1 billion for 8 months.
Also, according to First vice Prime Minister, through the Ministry of Social Policy and the State Inspectorate for Labour it has been managed to tighten control over compliance with labor laws.
Addressing to participants of the meeting, Serhiy Arbuzov said that the President of our country and the Government have identified arrears of wages, contributions to the Pension Fund and the legalization of employment as absolute priority issues.
At the same time, Vice Prime Minister called on colleagues not to stop and work on, because there are still many unresolved issues.
According to Serhiy Arbuzov, objectives payment of wage arrears and the Pension Fund as the legalization of informal employment and wages is personal responsibility of the heads of all government bodies, especially the State Inspectorate of Labor and the State Employment Service.
Selective conference on arrears of salary and payments to the Pension Fund of Ukraine and the legalization of employment was held on September 13, chaired by First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Incomes and Fees, the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Social Policy, Pension Fund, the Public Employment Service, the State Labour Inspectorate, the General Prosecutor's Office, as well as regional authorities and social partners.
