OREANDA-NEWS. Eni has been confirmed, for the seventh consecutive year, in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, which is one of the leading international sustainability indexes.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index, launched in 1999, includes companies that are characterized by excellent results in terms of economic, social and environmental performance, highlighting the leading companies in terms of sustainability for each sector.

The index includes a total of 333 stocks selected on the basis of economic, social and environmental criteria from 2,500 international stocks with the largest capitalization. In the Oil & Gas sector, in which 15 companies were selected among 123 candidates, Eni achieved the highest score for environmental performance.

Eni has also been confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index for the sixth consecutive year.
