OREANDA-NEWS. For the first eight months of 2013, UTair Group reports transporting a total of 6,535,719 passengers, a 15.5% increase over the same period in 2012. Passenger turnover came to 12,542,153,320 PKM, representing an 18.9% increase over the same period in 2012. Passenger turnover on international flights increased 49.4%.

Passenger load factor increased 4.5% for the reporting period, reaching a total of 78.65%. In the first eight months of 2013, UTair Group aircraft delivered 18,450.01 tons of cargo, 6.3 % more than for the same period in 2012.

The growth in the volume of transportation during the period from August 2012 to August 2013 is supported by the increased overall efficiency of the UTair route network and the expansion of the airline's fleet through the addition of new modern high capacity planes such as Boeing 767-200, Boeing 757-200 and Airbus A321. New international routes have been launched, including those between Moscow and Odessa, St. Petersburg and Budapest, Rostov-on-Don and Frankfurt am Main, Sochi and Trabzon, Sochi and Yerevan, as well as between Surgut and Lankaran. Flight operations from Moscow to Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Nalchik were also launched. Flight frequency was increased on routes from Moscow to Perm, Tyumen and Kyiv. The UTair flight program from cities of the Central Federal District and Komi Republic to resorts on the Black Sea was successfully accomplished.

UTair Group helicopters logged a total of 107,447 flight hours in the January-August 2013 period. For the reporting period UTair Group helicopters delivered 97,127.35 tons of cargo and transported 512,569 passengers.
