TITAN2 Completed Construction of Auxiliary Tanks Foundations at LNPP-2
OREANDA-NEWS. The work was performed by the staff of JSC UAT. After which they have handed over to the specialists of another of Holding's subsidiaries, JSC MSU-90, who are now commencing the installation of auxiliary tanks for chemical water treatment.
In total, this phase will comprise installation of 12 tanks, of 63, 100, 250, 300 and 400 m3 respectively. The GDB, GDF and LDP systems metal vessels were manufactured and tested at the industrial site of MSU-90. They are a part of a chemical water treatment system which is designed for the preparation of chemically demineralised water. Such water is used for initial filling of the coolant circuits, and for their subsequent feeding. The tanks are a 4th safety class equipment.
This installation effort is a part of a general phase of installation of the core process systems which will continue at the 1st power unit in 2013. During this phase JSC MSU-90 will be working on installing all main and auxiliary systems of the turbine hall for the Leningrad NPP-2.

TITAN-2 is one of the main contractors involved in construction and installation works at the power units 1 and 2 of the Leningrad NPP-2. The company performs over 30% of all general construction and 80% of installation works. 145 construction sites are simultaneously underway at the new site of Leningrad NPP. The holding's own specialists are involved at 42 sites of the 1st and 2nd power units of LNPP-2. The works involve operations with the reactor hall, turbine, power supply, water supply and other facilities of the power units. In total, the project of new LNPP-2 comprises 270 main and auxiliary facilities.
