OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2013. In August 2013 fish farming company Laura completed the first stage of release of the Black Sea parr grown by the company at the commission of the Sochi Branch in order to compensate the damage to water biological resources of the Black Sea caused by the project on creation of an international center of maritime passenger and cruise shipping in the Seaport of Sochi.

Parr release was carried out in two stages and took place in the presence of a committee of representatives from the Sochi Branch, Rosrybolovstvo Azovo-Chernomorsky territorial department, Azcherrybvod Federal State Budgetary Institution, Sochi National Park Federal State Budgetary Institution, Rosprirodnadzor Southern Federal District Department and the employees of the fish farming company.

The first batch of the Black Sea salmon fingerlings was released in the Mzymta river on its parts passing through the territory of the Sochi National Park, and the second batch, the first time in the practice of this kind of event, was released in the Psou river in the frontier on the border with the Republic of Abkhazia.

To the place of release the parr was brought in a specialized vehicle equipped with a container for the transportation of live fish.

Total output of the first stage has exceeded 658 thousand samples of the Black Sea salmon. At the second stage, fish farming company is going to release another 235 thousand pieces of spar to their areas of habitation in consultation with the environmental authorities of the Krasnodar Territory.

The total expenses of the Sochi Branch on financing the compensation measures for the water biological resources in creating an international center of maritime passenger and cruise shipping in the Seaport of Sochi, aimed at the cultivation and release of the Black Sea salmon, account for almost 10 million rubles.
