Estonian Defense Industry Companies Head to London for DSEI Expo
OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2013. Enterprise Estonia is picking up the tab to have nine Estonian defense industry companies show off their products at one of the world's largest defense and security expositions, the Defense Security and Equipment International, which opens in London tomorrow.
Head of the management board at EAS, Taavi Laur, told ETV on Friday that if an Estonian company manages to break into the defense market, the added value of each employee increases significantly, as the financial figures in the defense industry are far higher than in civilian sectors.
One of the companies set to exhibit its products is Protex Balti, which employs 300 people and produces intelligent fabrics.
Its products include a suit that directs impulses to muscles, allowing a wearer to execute movements impossible in other circumstances.
