OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2013. JSC TATNEFT was honored two high awards following the results of the contest of the XXth International "Oil and Gas. Petrochemicals - 2013" Exhibition for the best exhibit, project or technical solution.

JSC TATNEFT was awarded the Grand Prix for the engineering development and introduction of acid-based "KSK-Tatneft" stimulating compositions in the "Enhanced oil recovery" nomination. JSC TATNEFT also won the Grand Prix in the category "Innovative environmentally friendly technologies" for the engineering development and introduction of technologies to improve oil layers depletion with application of silica gel based compositions (SSG-VUKSZHS technology).

The awarding ceremony took place in the framework of the Tatarstan oil/gas and petrochemical Forum held in Kazan from September 4 to 6 at the "Kazan Fair" exhibition complex. The Forum opening ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Gennady Schmal, President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Dmitry Sharonov, Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan, Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT and other officials .

President of the Republic pointed out in his welcome speech that this year's forum was dedicated to a special and significant event: the 70th anniversary of beginning the development of oil fields in Tatarstan. The Republic has a well developed oil science with serious technologies, and overall the Tatarstan's oil companies are interested in sharing experiences with colleagues from other Russian regions and foreign countries.

Gennady Schmal, President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, said that the Forum in Kazan had become an integral part of the Russian oil and gas industry. According to him Tatarstan's oil companies are the leaders in the introduction of new engineering developments.

Rustam Minnikhanov presented diplomas to the heads of several companies whose exhibits, projects and technical solutions presented in the "Oil and gas. Petrochemicals - 2013" exhibition were awarded the Grand Prix. Two prestigious awards from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan were received by Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director General of JSC TATNEFT.

In the exhibition hall the President of the Republic and his party got acquainted with the display stands of the participating companies.

The objectives of the "Oil and Gas. Petrochemicals" exhibition are promotion of new technologies and equipment to the companies of the oil and the chemical industry in the Volga region, expansion and strengthening of inter-regional and international business cooperation and support of the research potential, as well as the industry research programs development. More than 250 domestic and foreign enterprises, specializing in the production, transportation, refining of oil and gas have introduced their advanced technologies and the latest equipment this year.

The display exposition of JSC TATNEFT traditionally demonstrated the advanced engineering developments of the Company providing for efficient operation of the oil fields.

The block of the well construction technologies included engineering developments in the construction of wells of a complex architecture with performance of sidetracking operations, horizontal wells drilling with geonavigation support and clear demonstration of the equipment application for local well casing.

The engineering developments section in the area of oil production and reservoir pressure maintenance included the technologies of dual well completion/ production and injection, as well as chain drives for sucker rod pumps and positive displacement pumping units.

The Company's exposition stand dealing with extra-viscous oil field development demonstrated the development of the EVO (extra-viscous oil) production technologies at Ashalchinskoye field.
The exposition display of workover and enhanced oil recovery included formation hydraulic fracturing technologies and different methods of EOR.

The block of crude oil refining and marketing of crude oil and petroleum products showed the project progress of the "TANECO" Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex construction.

The Company also represented its innovative development resources, including the electronic corporate university, the center of excellence, the business ideas auction and the student employment exchange.

The display stands of TATNEFT also included tire products manufactured by the petrochemical complex of TATNEFT.

The Company's experts took an active part in the forum events. The Program of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Challenges of improving the development efficiency of oil fields at their late stage" in the framework of the Tatarstan oil/gas and petrochemical forum included 27 reports of the JSC TATNEFT's professionals.

During the events the participants also discussed the main trends in the petrochemical and crude oil refining industries, industrial ecology and safety, addressed the issues of the expanding use of petrochemical products produced in the Republic in the area of capital construction and road building, etc.
