OREANDA-NEWS. Driving of the right interstation tunnel between Kotelniki and Zhulebino stations has been completed. The tunnel that is over 800 meters long is the last underground working of the new section of Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. The total length of the subway section under construction between Vykhino and Kotelniki stations is 6850 meters.

The work on the 831.2-meters-long right interstation tunnel between Kotelniki and Zhulebino” stations started on June 28, 2013. Tunneling was conducted from Kotelniki station using the Herrenknecht EPB-6150 Tunnel Boring Machine. The same machine has been used before for driving the left interstation tunnel between Kotelniki and Zhulebino stations.

The Kotelniki station complex was built simultaneously with the tunneling including excavation, concrete bed placing, waterproofing and platform bottom and wall concreting as well as platform erection.
