OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 1.1 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) (U.S. USD 122.358 million at the NBB rate) in January-July 2013, or 0.3% of GDP, an official with the Finance Ministry told.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 61.8 trillion rubles (USD 6.874 billion) in January-July 2013, or 50.7% of the target for the whole year.

Republican budget expenditures reached 60.7 trillion rubles (USD 6.752 billion), 49.6% of the target for 2013.

Revenues from the value-added tax amounted to 33.2 trillion rubles (USD 3.693 billion, 56.1% of the year target), from income tax - Br14.6 trillion (USD 1.624 million, 51.3%), excises - Br9.1 trillion (USD 1.012 billion, 51.3%), from foreign economic activities 14.5 trillion rubles (USD 1.613 billion), 48.5% of the target.

Revenues of the Labour and Welfare Ministry's social security fund (SSF) are estimated at Br43.6 trillion (USD 4.85 billion, 62.4%).

Tax arrears totalled Br189.6 billion (USD 21.09 million), down by Br47.6 billion (USD 7.8 million) as of August 1, 2013.

Revenues of the state administration budget (republican budget, local budgets and SSF) totalled Br153.8 trillion in Jan-Jul 2013 (USD 17.108 billion), 56.4% of the adjusted annual plan; expenditures - Br147.1 trillion (USD 16.363 billion, 54.1%). The surplus of the state administration budget totalled Br6.7 trillion (USD 7458.273 million), 2% of the GDP.
