ACRE Project under National 863 Program Passes through Inspection
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2013. ACRE Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation of MCC (ACRE) announced that, the New Generation Clean Coking Process & Equipment Development Project under the National High Technology Research and Development Program ("863" Program) of China passed through the acceptance inspection carried out by the State Government on August 30, 2013.
This project is organized and mainly conducted by ACRE, and participated by several domestic engineering design and research institutes, institutions of higher learning and manufacturing enterprises. According to the assessment result, the overall project is rated to be of domestically leading level and some of the technologies are deemed to be internationally advanced.
All the experts of the assessment team agreed to pass through this research project. In their point of views, several technologies developed under this project (Extra-capacity Top-loading Coke-oven Process & Equipment Technology, Smoke-dust Treatment Technology for Coal-loading Operation of Tamping Coke-oven, Software Package of Optimized Coal-blending Process, and High-efficiency Desulfuration Technology of Coke-oven Gas) is endowed with proprietary intellectual property rights. It has not only played an essential role in promoting the overall technical advancement of the industry, but also generated remarkable economic and environmental benefits.
The New Generation Clean Coking Process & Equipment Development Project under "863" Program was formally approved in 2009, which was the first such kind of project led and organized by an engineering design and research institute in China. The project consists of three research subjects, namely: (i) Extra-capacity Top-loading Coke-oven Process & Equipment Technology; (ii) Technical Process Study for Large-sized Tamping Coke-oven in conformity with the clean production requirements; and (iii) Technical Process Study for High-efficiency Desulfuration of Coke Oven Gas in conformity with the requirements of recycling economy.
Under this project, quite a few innovation achievements have been realized, for instance: (i) combined combustion technology for extra-capacity top-loading coke-oven; (ii) furnace binding; (iii) refractory materials for key part; (iv) key equipment; (v) intelligent control and technology integration for coke-oven; (vi) technical study on rational utilization of coal resources and smoke-dustpurification for coal-loading operation of large-sized tamping coke-oven; (vii) packaged technology for high-efficiency desulfuration process of coke oven gas by utilizing vacuum potash method; and (viii) wet-cleaning and wet-transformation acid technology. Up to now, applications have been submitted for 40 items of patent (including 13 items of national invention patent and 27 items of new innovative patent), and 4 items have been approved for software copyright registration.
Through this project, a new mode has been developed, according to which an engineering design and research institute takes the leading position in the project implementation under "863"Program. In this way, both the technical process and engineering practice, as well as the technical and economic factors, can be taken into overall consideration at the very beginning period, which has been proved not only to meet the market demand on a better basis, but also accelerate the transformation of the scientific research results. By means of this research work, the 4th Phase of EPC Coke-oven Project of Anshan Steel Works has been formally put into commissioning, and the various indicators have been proved to be satisfied for operation, which has been placed with a high premium by the employer.
