Moldovan Institution Presents European Energy Programme
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2013. The Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) trains managers in energy efficiency with the European Union partners’ support.
In the context, about 30 representatives of the business environment, of the local public administration and specialists in the energy sector today participated in the presentation of the "European Energy Manager – EUREM" programme at the CCI’s headquarters, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s press service has reported.
A Czech expert, senior consultant in energy and environment Hana Potuckova informed the participants about the European practices in energy management, use of renewable energy sources, cost cuts and reduction of energy consumption. The EUREM is a standardised training programme carried out in 13 EU states, concomitantly building up a network for European Energy Managers. During the training, the participants improve their knowledge in the area of the electric and thermal power, are familiarised with the up-to-date technologies and equipment, technical solutions for energy consumption reduction, etc., Potuckova said.
CCI deputy dead Tudor Olaru, referring to the opportunity of carrying out the EUREM programme, emphasised that the issue of energy consumption optimisation was topical not only for Moldova. "The EUREM’s fundamental pillars are the profound knowledge of ways of energy saving and use of alternative energy production sources. Given that Moldova imports most of the energy resources, the EUREM programme is welcomed, "Olaru said.
The EUREM programme was launched in Moldova in 2010, by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the CCI, the Economics Ministry, the German International Cooperation Agency and the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations from Germany.
