OREANDA-NEWS. Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced start of actual production for the main crude oil refining unit at Abdullah Port Refinery, after being shut down following fire that broke out in one of its associated lines on August 21.

 The main crude oil refining unit at Abdullah Port Refinery had been successfully run last Tuesday, KNCP stated to KUNA, adding that running this unit would allow resumption of its maximum refining capacity within the next two days. Also, it mentioned that consolidation of efforts that was carried out by maintenance and operations sectors in the company had a major effect on speed of fully completing maintenance work on the unit and run it in a record time.
