IC Allianz Analyses Losses of Agricultural Producers in Amur Region
OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2013. IC Allianz has so far received messages on potential losses from 13 agricultural producers. Allianz insurance settlement officers are working in the Amur Region and the company is contemplating ways to expedite processing of claims.
Allianz’ insurance has been covering 39.5 hectares of area under cultivation, with the prevailing crop being soy beans. The insured crops have in part not been damaged and already harvested. Inspection visits to a number of farmsteads have revealed partial damage to soy bean crops, with a month left to go yet before harvesting starts.
It is notable that the risk of water-logged soil is covered in all the existing insurance contracts and Allianz’ agents, jointly with the affected farmsteads, are now busy collecting the documentation necessary to settle the claims.
Representatives of IC Allianz Headquarters have flown to Blagoveschensk to meet with insured customers, provide time sensitive decisions and assist the Branch in expediting claims settlement. A hotline call service has been established for customers located in the disaster area.
