OREANDA-NEWS. On September 2013 - on the single voting day in Russia - two electoral precincts No. 462 and No. 463 will be working in the territory of Domodedovo airport. Therefore, citizens of Moscow Region traveling through the air harbour as well as guests and employees of Domodedovo who have no possibility to vote at place of residence will be able to participate in the election of a governor of Moscow Region.

Electoral precincts will be opened from 8:00 until 20:00:

No. 462 - on the second floor of the Passenger terminal (in the area of the location of the airline companies offices);

No. 463 - on the ground floor of the building of the cargo terminal (located near parking P4 and P5).

For passengers’ convenience special signs with information on the electoral precincts location will be placed in the passenger terminal. In order to vote it will be required to provide the regular passport and absentee voting certificate.

Security and order at the place of operation of electoral precincts will be ensured by police officers and employees of the own security service of the airport.

On the second Sunday of September electoral campaigns will took place in 16 subjects of the Russian Federation. More than 100 thousand candidates will claim mandates of deputies of different levels of regional authorities, as well as post of mayors and governors. This election will be the first election from the adoption of the Law on Single Voting Day that entered into force in November 2012 and governing the conduct of electoral campaigns once a year. On the 8th of September the citizens of Moscow Region will elect a governor and as Domodedovo airport is situated in its territory, citizens will be able to vote at the electoral precincts in the passenger terminal building.

Operation of the electoral precincts in Moscow Domodedovo Airport, according to the legislation, ensures the compliance with the electoral rights and rights to participate in the referendum of the citizen of Russia.
