Ingosstrakh Insurance Company provided insurance for Il-76MD-90А airlifter, which took part in exposition and demonstration flights at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2013, with the insurance sum of RUB 2.5 b and UAK Transport-aircraft Joint Stock Company, an active participant of MAKS Aviation Salons, as the policy holder.

Il-76MD-90A aircraft was insured under full risk package insurance, including damages arising from full (actual or structural) or partial destruction of the aircraft during flight, taxiing or downtime. The third party liability of the aircraft operator was also insured with the limit of USD 25 m for each event.

Strategic airlift plane Il-76-MD-90A is an extensively upgraded version of the well-proven Il-76MD. The aircraft permits to load aboard up to 60 tons of cargo and provides maximum speed of up to 800 km/h and flight range of around 4 thousand km. Pursuant to the event schedule of the Aviation and Space Salon, Il-76-MD-90A is displayed at exposition site and also will get off the ground for demonstration flights.

By tradition, International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS takes place in Moscow-vicinity science town Zhukovsky and is one of the largest world’s sites for demonstration of aviation military and civil machinery. Over 1,000 companies from 43 countries around the world take part in the events of MAKS-2013.
