OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB1, the corporate and investment banking unit of Sberbank, Russia’s largest universal banking group, is pleased to announce its second annual London investment conference – “Russia: The Inside Track” – taking place on Thursday and Friday this week.

The two day conference brings together around 40 large companies from Russia and the CIS with investment funds and institutions, through a series of one-on-one meetings and informal networking events. The event will also incorporate presentations from keynote speakers such as Tatiana Mitrova, Head of Oil and Gas at Russia’s Energy Research Institute, Christof Rьhl, Chief Economist of BP plc., and Mikhail Burmistrov, Managing Partner of the company INFOLine-Analitika.

Maxim Safonov, Head of Global Markets Department, Managing Director of Sberbank CIB, said: “After a successful event in 2012, we are delighted to be returning to London again this year for “Russia: The Inside Track.” As a regional specialist and the major force in corporate and investment banking in Russia, the CIS and CEE, Sberbank CIB is well-placed to help international investors unlock the potential of the Russian markets. By providing a forum for some of Russia’s largest companies to meet global investors on a one-to-one basis, this event helps to foster the transparency and two-way dialogue that is fundamental in accessing growth opportunities in these markets, especially at a time when attractive returns are limited to only the best opportunities.”

Companies presenting to investors at the conference are drawn from a wide range of sectors such as Oil and Gas, Metals and Mining, Consumer/Retail, Transport, Utilities, Real Estate, TMT, Financials and others.
