OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2013. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has suggested his Maltese counterpart Joseph Muscat to conclude a bilateral agreement which provides for the abolition of visa fees.

He started this at a meeting in Kyiv.
 
"We welcome Agreement on simplification of visa regime between Ukraine and the EU, which entry into force. Under this agreement, we are ready to offer to sign a bilateral agreement on the abolition of visa fees. This will improve the cooperation between our two countries," the Prime Minister said.

However, Mykola Azarov considers that a signing of agreements on investment protection, air transport and maritime merchant shipping will have great importance for the development of trade and economic relations. He hoped that the visit of Prime Minister of Malta accelerate the signing of relevant documents.

Moreover, Mykola Azarov has suggested to set a Ukrainian-Maltese Chamber of Commerce and intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, which, in his opinion, will enhance bilateral relations.

Prime Minister of Ukraine also has taken a stand for holding bilateral business forums.
