OREANDA-NEWS.  September 06, 2013. August  of this year saw an important milestone for the Prigorodnoye asset in terms of safety. Its employees have worked for five years without Lost-Time Injuries.

This means that everyone, who has been working at the asset during the five years since the plant construction phase in 2008, has maintained safe and efficient production. Such success is the result of daily coordinated work and Life saving rules adherence, the personal attitude to road safety, active approach of each employee to the programme or observing and prevention, and management commitment to safety rules.

Over this period a lot of significant events took place. Sakhalin Energy started year-round production of oil, started the first LNG plant in Russia, accepted more 750 gas tankers and 280 oil tankers in Prigorodnoye port.

More than 500 persons are engaged in work on the asset’s premises every day – not only employees responsible for production processes or HSE engineers, but also the asset’s and the laboratory’s managing personnel, and the catering facility staff.

The Prigorodnoye Complex, situated in the south of Sakhalin, on the shore of Aniva Bay, which stays ice-free nearly year-round, incorporates an LNG plant with LNG jetty and an oil export terminal with a tanker loading unit installed 5 km into the sea.
