OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2013. Ukraine has exported nearly 4 million tons of grain. The amount is higher than last year by 16%. However, we should continue reduction of export logistics and reduce tariffs for transportation. This was announced by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk at a press conference.

"Trade in grain on the domestic market is active. Grain export shows high rates too. Ukraine has already delivered to foreign markets almost 4 million tons of grain. These rates surpass last year's rates by 16% and we should to grow them each month as export capacity exceeds 30 million tons. Therefore we have to intensify the work to coordinate the logistics of grain," Mykola Prysyazhnyuk stressed.

The Minister said that this question to be even more acute in the near future because of the high yield of corn. So the Special Interagency Working Group is carrying on in Ukraine. The Cabinet also approved a reduction in the cost of veterinary and phytosanitary certificates.

"In addition, traders should strengthen its responsibility on the grain market. As if we have a low yield traders try to take out the maximum amount of grain, but when the country has good harvest and price situation is not entirely favorable, traders blame the state," Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
