Per Capita Disposable Income Averaged MDL 1508,8 Month in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2013. According to the annual update of the Facets of Living Standards 2012, published by the National Bureau of Statistics, it was MDL 1,242.8 in rural areas and MDL 1,869 in urban ones. It was 26.6% higher than average among households members of which are employed in the non-agricultural sector and 49.2% higher among businessmen.
Per Capita Disposable Income was lower than that average by 17.9% among pensioners, by 24% among employees of the agricultural sector and by 44.5% among self-employed agricultural workers. Main sources of the income were the salary (42.7%), social benefits (19.2% of which pensions made up 15.9%), remittances (16%), and incomes from the work at personal market-gardens (9.6%).
The income of households made of 1 person was 1.9 times as much as that of households including 5 or more people, making MDL 1,961.2 and MDL 1,042.1 a month respectively. In 2012, more than one forth of households of Moldova, or 26.7%, was made of 1 person; 21.4% of households were married children-free couples, 17.4% were children-having families other than married couples and 15.8% were children-having married couples, the National Bureau of Statistics reports. 58.4% households were made of 1 to2 members, 23.7% included 4 and more members.
The latter was especially typical for rural areas.
