OREANDA-NEWS. The nominee account of National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, was converted in JSC Gazprom share register into a CSD nominee account. This change was conducted prior to the deadline set by the Company jointly with JSC Gazprom and GPB (OJSC); it allowed the transfer of Gazprom shares represented in its Depositary Receipt program to NSD.

Mass conversion of accounts was completed in March 2013 in accordance with the road map approved after NSD’s consultations with custodians. Prior to this, the Company discussed the procedures of interactions in respect of CSD nominee accounts with registrars, developed new software and conducted a large scale test of interactions with registrars.
