"We finished not just a school of life, but a real university", say the participants of Summer University business game, the next stage of which was completed in Nickel settlement. Summer University game is a part of Norilsk Nickel’s corporate program called Professional Start.

Profstart Program that has been implemented by Kola MMC for three years, is designed to engage young professionals to work for the company, and thus satisfy the need for skilled workers.

This year program encompassed 70 students from the leading Russian universities, training professionals needed by Kola MMC.

For the six weeks, that the business game lasted, the students managed to do a lot. Thus, they supported volunteer projects in the regions of the company’s operation:  arranged for development of the public amenities of Zapolyarny, Monchegorsk and Nickel settlement, ensured organization of leisure time for the local youth, and cultivation of patriotic values.

At especially organized sessions coaches taught students to build up internal communication in groups and form a well-organized team. They required not only to come up with the idea, but also to develop a project plan, find and mobilize the resources needed. Practical skills of this kind are of great value for future specialists.
