OREANDA-NEWS. OMZ Foundry Manufacture, part of OMZ Group, sets up a new woodworking five-access machine equipped with Posseidon CNC (computer and numeric control). The machine has been delivered by Industries (Italy) and will be installed in the processing department #38.

The machine allows manufacturing of large-scale model parts for one model blank set-up due to expanded mechanical surface treatment zone. Technical specifications of the machine are: X-axial stroke - 5000 mm, Y-axial stroke - 6200 mm, Z-axial stroke - 2500 mm; steel working table with aluminum T-sectioned grooves 6000 х 4500 mm. The machine is equipped with CNC and Siemens motion control systems.

New woodworking machine combines durability, reliability and high safety standards with accuracy, high speed and commodity of processing all kinds of milling works. The set-up of this high-tech woodworking center allows to fully provide the enterprise with self-manufactured models and reducing costs as well as accelerating the process of castings manufacturing and delivery to customers.

The overall volume of project implementation expenses made up RUR 21mio including machine procurement, foundation laying, energy inputs supply, set-up process, adjusting and start-up procedures as well as staff training.
