Moscow, September 2, 2013 - Transaero Airlines has signed a new code sharing agreement with Belavia, the Belarussian flag carrier, for flights between Moscow and Minsk and St. Petersburg and Minsk. The agreement took effect yesterday, September 1st.

This is the latest development in the relationship of the two companies, who first signed a code sharing agreement in 2007. The latest agreement represents a new stage of the partnership between the airlines and provides passengers with additional travelling opportunities.

Transaero can now offer its clients the opportunity to book tickets to Minsk on Belavia flights from Domodedovo International Airport, Moscow and from St. Petersburg. As the partnership is based on the principle of free trade, Transaero is able to sell tickets on all Belavia flights on these routes without seat limits on each flight.

Dmitry Stolyarov, First Director General Deputy of Transaero Airlines, said: “Transaero Airlines is proud of its successful code sharing partnership with Belavia. We are certain that Transaero passengers will appreciate the new ticketing opportunities for flights to Minsk not only from Moscow, but from St. Petersburg as well. In addition, we are ready to offer travelers from the Belerussian Republic connecting flights on our broad route network. We are looking forward to the active development of the partnership between the two airlines”.

Anatoly Gusarov, General Director Belavia National Airline said: “Our partnership highlights Belavia National Airline's open policy when it comes to co-operation with foreign operators. We are delighted that, through our partnership agreements, we are now able to expand our clients' travel opportunities.”
